SHO Sariab Police Station Abdul Rauf Barech informed APP that an unknown armed man opened fire on Murid Abbas, a government primary schoolteacher when he was on his way to school in Lower Karaiz, Sariab Road. As a result of the firing he received four bullet injuries and breathed his last on the spot.
The reason behind the murder is stated to be sectarian.
Police have registered an FIR against unknown assailant and started further investigation.
